The Russian airstrikes were aimed at a densely packed civilian residential area and a shopping mall right next door. There could have been dozens of casualties.

Nearby residents who had been shaken by the airstrikes last night gathered at the explosion site as the firefighting efforts were over and the sun rose.

Cars burned and melted by the explosion, windows on the front of apartment buildings shattered by the shock wave, and soot lingered in the air.

Adults were speechless at the sight or shouted curses at Russia.

Children looked at the burned cars with curiosity, as if trying to confirm the destruction caused by last night's horror.
