January 6th is the Eastern Orthodox Church's "Epiphany," commemorating the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist.


In Ukraine, people commemorate the baptism of Jesus by bathing in rivers or the sea and a ritual of consecrating holy water.


Despite the bone-chilling cold, many bravely entered and exited the icy river in remembrance of Jesus.
