In Ukraine and Europe, Christmas is the biggest holiday in the Christian culture, celebrating the birth of Jesus. Therefore, the decorations for this Christmas naturally have a long history. They are also colorful, diverse, cute, and lovely. It is very different from the simple Christmas tree decorations in Korea.
From December 6, the Kyiv War Museum in Ukraine will host the exhibition 'Ukrainian Christmas Tree Decorations: From the 19th Century to the Present'. This project shows the history of Christmas tree decorations and the changes in tree decorations.
Each tree decoration, including glass balls, ceramic decorations, and cotton toys, contains the spirit of the time, the advancement of manufacturing technology, and aesthetic standards. In other words, Ukrainian Christmas decorations contain Ukrainian traditions and history.
