The Russian military launched 120 missiles and 90 UAVs targeting winter heating and power infrastructure. I also woke up to the sound of a missile explosion in the sky early this morning. I heard that a ballistic missile fragment hit the roof of a five-story apartment and injured a woman, so I quickly headed to the scene of the accident. While I was going there, the sky was filled with contrails drawn by Russian missiles or UAVs. The loud explosions of Russian missiles could be heard several times in the air due to fierce interception by Ukrainian air defense systems. The house damaged by the missile fragments fell from the air onto the roof of the house. Other than the residents, there were no damage to nearby buildings or people or a major fire. After the Ukrainian emergency services confirmed that there were additional explosions, they lifted the missile fragments out with a large crane. The project is implemented by @unconquered_foundation with the financial support of @mfea_slovenia through @itf_si. The training is conducted by instructors with military experience at the SHERIFF Demining Training and Qualification Center. Despite the heat, the weight of protective gear, and the complexity of practical tasks, the participants remain focused as they practice the skills required for work in humanitarian demining. They use metal detectors, learn to identify explosive ordnance, including training grenades and mines, and work in challenging terrain conditions. The deceased, who had the call sign 'Sparrow', was the commander of the drone unit and died on the front line on October 28. At the age of 16, the deceased participated in the Ukrainian Euromaidan Revolution, the Revolution of Dignity, in 2014. In 2023, the deceased was wounded by the Russian army, but after treatment, he always hoped to return to the front line with his comrades. The victim of the Russian strike was the daughter-in-law of MP Valeriy Zub, whose son is fighting at the front. Kateryna Shalupnya was an employee of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils. Russian troops attacked the Kyiv region - a weapons exhibition held at one of the training grounds was hit by a missile strike.
